new format
While I understand people hate anything new, I really think there is validity to the criticism. Please make the old version an option. I am on a site called Ravelry where they leave it up to the user to use the new or old version.

@VPicchioni I agree!!!!!! I haven't used this site for a few months (summer). I returned today and was lost. It took me several searches and cuss words to figure out how the new format functions. I'm proficient with most software programs so I'm confident in saying the new format is cumbersome and too rigid. I considered FamilySearch the free version of Ancestry.com... my two go-to genealogical research sites! Unfortunately, I don't see myself using this site anymore unless the old version becomes an option.

I've been using FS for more than 20 years and it has been very useful but now this new format is totally un-usable. It's not easy to search and is always throwing up completely irrevevent records it does not even recconise English city or town names. We've had long enough to try it and I think from the number of complaints that are all over the internet we don't like it. Unless it changes back to the original format very soon I will remove all the data I have provided from the site and if I am unable to do that I will make changes to every thing so that others will not be able to use the data.

You may like to ADD, your thoughts/comments, in those particular posts; so that, your thoughts/comments, like those of MANY other UNHAPPY Users/Patrons, ARE 'seen', by the Team, in 'FamilySearch', that 'Designed'; and, 'Developed" the NEW look "Search".
As you can 'see' from those posts ...
DESPITE, all the NEGATIVE 'Feedback', with regard to the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", from those that matter, the 'lowly' User/Patrons, where the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", was 'foisted' upon them; BEFORE, being "Fully" released to ALL User/Patrons - 'FamilySearch' RELEASED the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", to ALL Users/Patrons.
As I already suggested ...
You are not alone ...
We are ALL "Struggling"; and, NEED "Help", with the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", which is NOT very 'User Friendly'.
MOST Users/Patrons want the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records" to be "Reverted" BACK to the PREVIOUS "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records".
But ...
That Said ...
SADLY, I doubt that will happen ...
I know, that this DOES NOT help/assist; but, I hope, that this gives you, some additional, insight; and, perspective.
