How do I download a batch?

Are you working from a place where you can stay online? If you are then what was said by the two above will suffice. As you work your entries are saved to the server frequently so if you want to stop and work on the batch again later there is no problem. When you log on again your work can be opened again and you can finish your batch.

Hi Robert,
In answer to your question, go to Familysearch.org/indexing and open the web indexing program. The screen will come up showing "Find Batches" and the list will propagate. Select a batch that you feel comfortable with from this list. Happy indexing.

Is the batch saved on my computer? How long will it be available for me to finish it and submit it. Is their a limit on the number of batches I can download? Bob

No, the batch is not saved to your computer. You have approximately 7 days to finish and can see this date once you select a batch. You can have 10 batches total at a time but each project will also have a limit.

I have since learned that to save a batch you must exit by clicking the black arrow in the upper left corner of the screen. If you leave the site or shut down the computer without doing this, you will lose the work done on that batch.
