Family Search Hint has the wrong person.
I just received a message that stated that they had found an ancestor of mind, a Malcolm McRae. The hint was that his son John McRae was born in 1818 in Scotland and christened in 1818 in Scotland. Well, my Malcolm McRae arrived in Canada in 1815 with his wife and 3 daughters. One of his daughters (Mary) married my gggrandfather Kenneth McCaskill in 1833 in Eastern Ontario (L'oringal/Hawkesbury area). It is extremely unlikely that a son would have been born in Scotland in 1818. How do I get this corrected?

@Earl McCaskill We thank you for your concern about a record hint that does not apply to your family. We are not sure what you mean by "How do I get this corrected?" Please follow the link below to show that the record is Not a Match to your family.

The "hints" are just possibilities, not certainties. To keep a particular one (that you are sure is incorrect!) from showing up on the person's page, click on it, and in the pop-up box that appears, click "Not a Match." You will be asked to enter some evidence that it is indeed not a match; in the case you mention, you can simply add that he lived in Canada ca.1818 and had no sons.
