Reviewing Obits: Duplicates
Best Answer

This batch is completely wrong and should be returned for reindexing. On this project we do not only index the name of the deceased. We index EVERY single name in the obituary. We also index every obituary, no matter if it is the same person.
From the project instructions:
- Index each obituary independently from the other obituaries even if multiple obituaries are for the same deceased individual.
There would at least 15 "others" following the first entry alone. This image could have well over 50 records, not 15!
Obituary indexing is very complex, even the ones that have been done are wrong. For instance, there are some that have place of residence which was not indexed. Commas need to separate the place names, names have typos, etc.

They are about the same person but they are not duplicates.
Under Help you can find this article on duplicates:
"A duplicate image is another photo or a retake of a previous image in the same batch. The duplicate and the original images are both images of the same document or combination of documents, not merely two images of similar documents or two images of documents about the same people."

Annewandering,
The duplicates are Index Entries not images. The Entries are filled in I'm Reviewing the Entries from the images Inot Indexing Images.
There is one Image that has 14 Obituaries on it. Can I remove the Entry 5 out of 15?
