Changes on the search

Please don't quit! It may take a little getting used to but the changes do make sense once you get used to them.
1. Click in the Name column against a record you would like to view
2. In the pop out box on the right, click on View Record
This will open a new tab where you can view the record details before deciding whether to attach the record to your ancestor
By clicking on Save you have the Option to
• Save to your Source Box
• Copy the full record
Print the full record
By clicking on Edit you can correct errors in the transcribed record (this is not available on all records at the moment)
Sorry to hear you are having a problem. Does this help at all?

Judy, I find that the new Search Records is very simple to use. It was designed to help new users navigate the search menu more easily. If you want to search collections, just scroll down a bit and you will find the familiar "Browse All Collections." If you want to search places, next to the "Browse All Collections" is the "Browse Places." It will open up with world map that we are used to using.
I feel that if you explore a little more, the new Search Records will be easier to use and you should not have any problems. Hopefully that will be the case. The following article will help explain the Search function in the new Search Records tab.
