Temple work for person with incorrect sex

Person of interest: Willie T Hinds IS FEMALE MW5L-NBX

Note: That name was typed by a different patron in 2015, not by me. :-)

Person is listed in Family Tree as a male. All temple work has been completed as a male. No sources are currently attached. But the individual seems to be female. The 1900 US census (which is shown as a research suggestion) lists the person as Female. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9ZP-174

Find A Grave webpage seems to show the person as a female (Willie Trice Hinds Griffith) with the maiden name Hinds in italics. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/58217875/willie-trice-griffith

So - shall I just add another child by the same name with the correct sex - and do all the temple work for that new female child?

    Hello @SwansonSharon1

I see that a female Willie Trice Hinds LKGM-QC1 is attached as a child to this family. And that some ordinances have been completed.

We have changed the record MW5L-NBX so now the record shows as female. Once you remove the "IS FEMALE" from the Name, you should be able to merge the two records and then the remaining ordinances will be available to be requested.

Thank you for taking the time to ensure our records are correct.

What do I do when temple ordinances were done for the wrong sex?

    I hope this helps.
