US, Missouri—Naturalization Records, 1843–1991 [Part F] [M3NS-G2S] Name Change
Project instructions say not to index a name change document, so as I am indexing a regular petition for naturalization, what do I put as the person's name if they also have a name change included in their petition?
Example, Nunzio D'Angelo wants to have his name changed to Nunzio Norman D'Angelo. Do I index "Norman" as part of his name or no?

The instructions also say: If a name change request was included on an indexable naturalization document, such as a petition for naturalization, index the document.
This is going to be fun because the name change requests are on the very bottom of the petitions and should be indexed as variations. Additionally there will be variations on the names which they had upon entering the country and then petitioning for citizenship.
Since he wants Norman added to his name, I would index that as Given Name: Nunzio Norman.
If he wanted to change his name from Nunzio to Norman then it would be indexed as Nunzio or Norman.
