xxx is making changes to my family history which I entered and which are correctly done by me. How do I get him to stop this incorrect editing. He is no relative. Thx,

john barrett

In short, you can't stop anyone making changes, however carefully you have researched your relatives - even adding sources and notes as evidence.

Family Tree is an open-edit project and only living persons IDs and a limited number of locked (read-only) records cannot be touched. Many of us have had a similar experience to you and have learned to back-up our work elsewhere.

Try to communicate with the person in question - by the internal messaging facility. He may not reply, but it's worth trying to politely explain his errors and to ask for the evidence behind his changes.
