How to correct a wrong indexing?

Instead of a creating a new person - Maria Moran - I have been indexing a registered person Maria Moran M6M2-KCP at time of creating it as at the time it seemed she was matching: her spouse was Manuel Lopes but double-checking the source it appears that the said couple are from Mexico records while mines. Manuel Lopez and his wife Maria Moran. are from Spain - Canseco by 1750. I'd like to correct this incorrect link and create a brand new index for both of them. I have not find the way to do it as it seems impossible to delete the person Maria Moran as created by Familysearch in 2012.

The flaw at time of creating a person and/or check possible match rests in the impossibility to see the detailed pedigree of the said match to make sure it does match.

Paula Maria Lopes Moran, listed as a daughter of Maria Moran, was baptized in 1723 in Mexico.

Manuela Lopez, also attached as a daughter of Maria Moran, was supposedly married in Spain in 1793.

I think you have two different families, several generations apart, and some disambiguation will be needed.

Also when cousins marry, when viewing the pedigree (landscape) view on Family Search you will see the same grandparents twice, as these are the correct grand parents for each of their grandchildren. This relationship is correct so that future generations can see the connections between the ancestral line, and the descendants,

Thanks a lot for your prompt answer. I've corrected it alright. And I shall abuse of your knowledge in this matter as I do have another issue regarding the program, which I'll try to detail clearly as much as possible as flws:

In the tree from the Spanish side, two sisters with naturally the same parents, mother and father, have married each one of them their husband, those latter with no relationship between them. But the son of the first sister married the daughter of the 2nd sister i.e. his cousin, so in the tree it appears twice the same grand-parents, grand-pa and grand-ma, and from there downward, the ancestors of these grand-parents are of course the same . Question is: how this double line can be corrected to make only one from that entry?

If the person is listed twice - 2 different PIDs - and it is indeed only one person, then you can merge the 2 profiles into a single person.

If you want to share the PIDs, we can possibly help with more specific advice.

Hi Aine,

The people I'd like to merge are exactly the same and are duplicate as grand-children of them, cousins then, married together so it makes at their point one and only one line of ancestors.
