How to correct incorrect information?

When demonstrably erroneous information is found in a person in the tree (e.g. wrong parents, non-existent children, misattributed children, etc.), how should go about correcting the information?

There are many possible situations that need “Correcting” in Family Tree. Since patrons, such as yourself, are the ones most familiar and most qualified to make decisions about their ancestors, we are asking them to make needed corrections in the records. Here are links to articles that will explain the process for making some of the more common corrections.
