What is a Live Announcement in Obituaries? US, Minnesota, Obituaries, 1855–1990
I have not run across anything that I consider to be a Live Announcement article, but, I would like to know what the definition is for such an image. Has anyone ever heard this term before and can you help me to understand the terminology? I don't understand in historical documents how there can be a live announcement. I think of that as an announcement made on radio, television, or the internet. But there must be another meaning. Thanks!

My guess: they may have meant 'life' instead if 'live' - typo?

I think all the announcements mentioned previously are 'life announcements' - marriage, anniversary, and birthday announcements, family group sheets, family history stories - I think they are using it as a catch-all summary category for the sentence (I guess in case they left something out) - maybe like society news/travel announcements used to be?
Rather than the typical clarifying instruction - do not index any other type of records - they chose to start naming types of records not to index.
