question not being posted
I've asked several questions in the past and when I clicked on "ask question" they got posted.
I've been trying to ask another question but when I click on "ask question" I get the message "your comment will appear after it is approved". Is something new or am I doing something incorrectly.
Thanks, John
PS I wonder what will happen when I click on "ask question" for this question!

My experience has been that sometimes these posts get flagged "pending review" because of an uploaded photo, an attachment, a screenshot, or even a word that the has been programmed as unacceptable. One of the moderators should be able to approve the question if they can see it.

This question went right through so I assume there is something about my unposted question that is causing concern requiring it to be reviewed before posting.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Short Answer: 'No', this is a KNOWN problem/issue (ie. "Fault"/"Flaw" = 'Bug'), in the Forum, at present.
Hopefully, being investigated.
What I have found, that SOMETIMES works; but, not always, is:
▬ "Logging Out" of BOTH, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum; and, "FamilySearch'; and,
▬ then, "Closing" down my Computer altogether; and,
▬ Then, "Restarting" my Computer; and, then selecting ANOTHER "Browser" altogether; and,
▬ Then "Logging BACK Into" BOTH, the 'FamilySearch'; and, the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
Then, I try posting again.
Remember, this does not always work; but, it does sometimes.
I hope that this might help.

Thank you Brett. I did almost all of that. I shut down my computer last night and then this morning restarted and tried to post the question again.
One clue maybe ....... the question is sitting in my draft folder but I know for sure that I didn't select "save" because I made a point of click on ask question. Maybe that "approval" that is waiting is for me to approve posting it from my draft folder but I don't see that as an option. I could delete it but I don't see a posting button.
If I don't get a solution, I'll try tacking it on to another question. I'd really like to get an answer because I just ran into the situation again and had to return the batch.

I now understand why my question was held up. In my question I referenced a column that was on a document. The column was labeled using the abbreviation for Assessed which was the first three letters of the word assessed followed by an apostrophe and the letter d. When the question was posted the label was changed to ****'d.
