I'm indexing an image with multiple obituary notices. Instructions say to index each obituary separately even if they are duplicates of each other (which they are not). In which order do I index them? Do I go across or do I go down. They are kind of haphazard.

If the Project Instructions do not state the order I would recommend starting in the first column - top to bottom and then the next column - top to bottom - etc. This is the way a newspaper text flows - so should be the way it is indexed - I believe.
