I'm indexing obituaries and was wondering if I should index step-children.

If so, what should I mark for their relationship?

    Yes, you should include step-children and step-parents, etc.

    You drop the "step" and the relationship is: child, son, daughter, parent, mother, father (whatever fits the description).
