Cannot search Scotland Censuses

Whenever I go to the Collection Details Page (https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2028673) for one of the Scotland Censuses, the search bars do not appear and therefore I am unable to search the Census.

Is anyone else having this problem and/or know how to fix it?

    We partner with other websites to share as many images as possible through those agreements, however, that does not mean that every film that has been shared by one of our partners is going to be available through FamilySearch.

    We apologize if it is confusing to see a collection that you cannot access listed at FamilySearch, but since permissions are always being negotiated, current permission restrictions can change. In the meantime, we hope you will work around the inconvenience of not being able to view these images for free at FamilySearch. Best wishes in your continued research. 😊

    A similar issue was raised here a just recently, concerning the 1939 National Register indexed record collection. These records can be only viewed at a Family History Centre and I believe the same might apply here. Yes, it is usually just image collections that can only be viewed with restrictions, but there are a few examples of indexed collections, too, as you/we have found..

    I recall that about two years ago there was a discussion about this collection in the predecessor to this forum. At that point, the indexes to Scotland censuses could be only be viewed by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Members of other religions have to use the indexes of other websites- e.g. ScotlandsPeople, Ancestry.com and FindMyPast.

    @CDBurk

    Thank you for your response CDBurk. I read the banner and understand that it says "Images are not available at this time", but I assumed that I could still search the index.

    There are many other indices on this website that do not have images available yet I can still search the index.

    If this index is unsearchable on FamilySearch, then why is it even located on FamilySearch?

    The images of the 1851 Scotland census are not on FindMyPast. I believe those images are found only on the ScotlandsPeople website.
