The new User interface is *UNUSABLE*
Please advise how we can revert to the previous User interface.
This revised offering is of no use and far too frustrating to use.
After a lifetime of writing large-scale databases I can tell you that the most important aspect is to make it as User-friendly as possible, so that the computer remains the slave, not the User!
I am unable to use this new interface for it is NOT friendly and requires a lot more link-clicking which also INCREASES THE LOAD ON YOUR SERVERS !!! i bet the schoolboy who dreamt up the revision didn't think that one through!

This is absolutely horrid! Yuk, yuk, yuk.
The whole new Search page is awful to look at, does not have the right boxes in the right place. What young whiz kid has charged you loads of money to redesign what worked perfectly well? Kick this new idea out and revert to the tried and tested search page that worked well. It opened the door to lots of really useful ways of searching. Who do you think you are helping?

OH MY WORD!
This new interface is appalling. It makes no logical sense,
Bad, bad, bad designers.
Please, please put it back right away, you have slowed me down to a crawl extracting data, especially move search back to the left sidebar, please. It's like sleeping on the wrong side of the bed, nothing that should be there is there and you have to keep leaning over a huge lump to get anything you need.
Call this progress ugh!

Nothing works! Can't sign anymore, inputting info won't save, no one returns calls or chats for help. What has happened to this site?

And for me the system is t-o-o s-l-o-----w! It is like being on 56K dial-up all over again!
I have to wait several seconds for each & every search result watching the spinning icon.
Is there a contact we can refer to directly, instead of hoping someone with access to the big lever might stumble across our pleas?
EDIT: Brilliant stuff: I found a UK contact number and guess what? "As of 1 September 2021 this number will be withdrawn" ! Just the UK nowhere else.

I'm so glad to have found like minded users - PLEASE PLEASE return the search set up to what it was previously. The new one is UNUSABLE. If it wasn't for the fact that there are often gems on Family Search, I'd abandon it completely

Absolutely unusable. I'm pretty determined, but think I'm going to have to search on Ancestry :-O

This site used to be so good and it was the one that I used most often. It is now absolutely dreadful, it's impossible to find the simplest of information. Please go back to the previous format before I tear all of my hair out !!

You may like to ADD, your thoughts/comments, in those particular posts; so that, your thoughts/comments, like those of MANY other UNHAPPY Users/Patrons, ARE 'seen', by the Team, in 'FamilySearch', that 'Designed'; and, 'Developed" the NEW look "Search".
As you can 'see' from those posts ...
DESPITE, all the NEGATIVE 'Feedback', with regard to the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", from those that matter, the 'lowly' User/Patrons, where the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", was 'foisted' upon them; BEFORE, being "Fully" released to ALL User/Patrons - 'FamilySearch' RELEASED the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", to ALL Users/Patrons.
As I already suggested ...
You are not alone ...
We are ALL "Struggling"; and, NEED "Help", with the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", which is NOT very 'User Friendly'.
MOST Users/Patrons want the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records" to be "Reverted" BACK to the PREVIOUS "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records".
But ...
That Said ...
SADLY, I doubt that will happen ...
I know that this DOES NOT help/assist; but, I hope that this gives you some additional, insight; and, perspective.

I used to love using Familysearch - since it's "NEW" user interface, I rarely check into the site, as I know I will have a disappointing experience. Decided to give it another try today - once again, a horrible experience. Searches I have made in the past which were easy and gave me the results I wanted quickly (and only within my set perimeters) are now impossible. If you click on "exact search" only - the search results still give you tons of results that are outside the perimeters you set. WHY, or why did Familysearch change what was a wonderfully easy and extremely productive search/user interface. I used to be able to find exactly what I was looking for in such a short time. Please go back to the system you had previously - as I think very few people will continue to use Familysearch in it's current format.

Please PLEASE PLEASE, make your website more user friendly! I have spent 15 years compiling a family tree of over 8000 people and would love to post this very important infomation on this website. I use ancestry and rootsmagic 7. Ancestry`s website is becoming just as frustrating to use now too!!! Thank God rootsmagic 7 is easy to review with its subdude colours. You really need to focuse on the older generations. We are the ones who remember. The older generations were subjected to black and white. We do not want to be forced to put up with it again. I am dyslexic and this is also discriminating against those of us who are challanged. Again Please Help! I have work so hard...😪😪
