I know that "inst" means the same month, but it may say "b 8th Ult". Can someone tell me what "Ult" stands for?

Ult means last month, so a child baptized on 1 July, for example, may have been born the 30 ult - or 30 June.

    FYI @GarvinConnieRae

ult. = last month, inst. = present or current month, prox. = next month
