Need PID deleted

G9PC-TT4 - This PID was created from a marriage record - where the record was transcribed incorrectly as "Dorch" - when it shows "Don't Know". It has been removed from all relationships and just needs to be deleted from the Tree. IF the person was known at this time, we would just merge it. However the person is still unknown and no other records / research has shown yet the name of the intended person. Since multiple people have now changed something on it, the original creator of the PID can no longer delete it. Thank you!

    Because an historical record is involved, the better solution is to roll back the recent changes, reattach this PID to the husband, and give the PID the placeholder name Mrs. Wiedenhoffer. Or the placeholder name Unknown.

    @Amy Archibald

    Does this really need to be deleted? There must be countless thousands of "?" records in Family Tree that are not connected to a spouse or any other individual. The same probably applies to "Unknown" IDs.

    Perhaps you have the right idea about this ID being deleted, but surely the engineers could write some code to pick up on all those other IDs of similar nature - particularly all the "?" IDs that were created by certain FamilySearch programs and have caused a great deal of (seemingly needless) grief - and hard work - for me and others over the years?
