Baptisms for Barbados church records. Do I index the info on both pages?

The picture with the info is an open book with 2 pages. Do I index the info on both pages, or just the first page?

It is always best to share your batch to get an accurate answer. To share a batch, click on the third icon from the right and follow the instructions. You can just add the batch code (the series of letters/numbers in brackets) as a comment. The batch code is also right after the title at the top of your screen.

But, generally we index every principal person on an image and collect data about them. So, if there are names of people being baptized recorded on both sides of the book, then you would create a record for each one of them.

I think you answered my question though and I will create records for persons on both sides of the book in the image.

Thanks for sharing the batch! Yes, you are correct to create a record for each person. On those ones that you marked Unreadable, you might want to try to use the wild cards and figure them out. There would be a ? question mark for one letter and * asterisk for more than one letter. You can read more about this in the general indexing guidelines under the link unreadable information.

    Happy Indexing!
