Search by level of difficulty

It would be good for beginner indexers to be able to find easier projects, or be able to do that more easily. As far as I can tell, the only way to find the level of difficulty is to open it. Lots of time and clicks being taken up just to get started.

You can limit your search by level of difficulty when selecting batches by clicking on the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced boxes and also by selecting the language.

There are rarely Beginner projects. If you are looking for something that is mostly typed, you can look at the dates of the projects and get some feeling for what you will be finding. But, it is hard to find a starter project.

I highly recommend the US, Minnesota, Brown County—Obituaries, 1855–1990! Read the project instructions, the field helps, look at the examples, and especially click on the two links in the instructions to learn how to index obituaries. They are really great projects ! You will be able to get 4 batches at a time on this project.

Hello @WrightSue2 They are located on the Find Batch Screen. When you click on Web Indexing, and then click on Find Batches, you will see them on the Refine Results screen. You can also use the Sort By: Tab at the top of the projects lists to organize the various projects by Level of Difficulty, Least or Most Complete, Newest or Oldest, or Alphabetically.
