Can you help me fix this MAJOR problem? I keep getting "Edit unavailable Sorry this record cannot be
Hi. I am a direct descendant of Corporal Solomon Holman ( born 1723). Prior to being a Corporal in the Continental Army, Revolutionary War, he was an Ensign in the Colonial Army (1747-1761)
There are major problems with the indexing for several of his children's birth records. He was incorrectly indexed as Solomon Ensign Holman (or some form thereof), so it is what appears in search results, record summaries, and citations. (The actual records entered by the clerk are correct.) The mistakes has led people to believe Ensign is his middle name and incorrect name has propagated across the web.
I tried to correct the problem on FamilySearch, from the “record summary/view original document” page, but it says “Edit unavailable. Sorry, this record cannot be edited."
This is a big deal. Anyone using the FamilySearch database to work on/build a profile for him will refer to him as Solomon Ensign Holman.
Here are the URLs of the offending records:

Thank you for the URLs pointing to the records/indexes needing correcting. As mentioned in my previous response to your other question - the index for these records does indicate that they are 'Edit Unavailable'. If at some point they do become available to edit - you can go in and correct them. I am unaware of any other method to correct this incorrect index at this time. You can make a note in the Attach Reasons - where these images are attached as sources to your family in the Tree - that these indexes have an error needing correction.
Although not a resolution - this is the best suggestion I can give for now. Thank you for your patience with incorrectly indexed records!
