Can this indexing issue be cleared up?

Hi. It appears that at least four of the enumeration district record sets for the 1900 Wise County, Virginia census have an index problem. When viewing the page scans, the Image Index data is present at the bottom. However, these records do not appear to be assigned a geographic location in the index, and cannot be found using an exact Residence Place search for "Wise, Virginia", or "Virginia", or even "United States", as would normally be expected.  The four questionable record sets, of the nine I tested, are: ED 123 Gladeville District (north part) Gladeville & Tacoma Towns ED 126 Lipps District (west part) Bond & Coeburn towns ED 127 Richmond District (Big Stone Gap Precinct) Big Stone Gap town ED 128 Richmond District (East Stone Gap Precinct) East Stone Gap town To demonstrate, you can try an exact name search for any of the following names in the 1900 census, one taken from each record set: Dora-Ellen Busick Rubie P Pope Camie S Kilbourne Tute Irvin Good  They can all be found with a search, so long as no exact location is added. Thanks, Wade Kenady

    @Michael Stenberg

    You can refer to my similar post concerning another Census and the moderator reply I received:

    Is this for records already indexed or for records that are being currently indexed? It sounds like these records are already indexed and you are questioning if they should be reindexed?

    I believe the patron is asking that the record be indexed again as initially it was not indexed correctly

    We moved this to the support that deals with these issues. Once it is indexed it is out of our hands.

    Further documenting interesting issues with Search> Records for just the first primary name on this issue:

    1. Search: More Options: Names: Dora-Ellen Busick, Place: Wise, Virginia Year (Range): 1900 - 1900

    Filter Results (284) First Result: Dora-Ellen Busick Principal, United States Census, 1900: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMJ6-PDX

    2. In More Options: Record Options: Location: Country or Location: United States State or Province: Virginia

    Filter Results (44) Clearly something was filtered but the search terms for Dora remained the same and she is no longer listed - why?

    3. RESET ALL

    4. Search: More Options: Names: Dora-Ellen Busick, Place: <blank> Year (Range): 1900 - 1900, Location: Country or Location: United States State or Province: Virginia

    Filter Results (173): Dora-Ellen Busick is no longer in Results - why?

    Generally users are finding that without clear definitions and examples for what the Search Parameters are doing the Results are confusing.

    RESET ALL does not clear Search Results for the previous Search - why?
