I am currently working on the above batch. IN column 3 about line 136 and 143 after a name are the letters h n s and another name with b after it. How are those names to be treated. Do I index them with the last name in the first column or no last name?

Thank you,

Aubrey Martin

We have seen it, there are many with h and other letters, and in other right column.

If there is a name after it that is probably a street name, so just the first name before those letters should be indexed.

    h is house or householder

    b is between

    s. e. c. (south east corner)

Margaret, Jane, and Baymiller are streets.

Mason Cuthbert H, whitener, h.n.s. [house north side of] Margaret, b. [between] Jane and Baymiller
