Someone gave us a box full of old family group sheets from the 1925 to 1960s. I check a few of the names and found they where on family Search. Question what should I do with the box of old family group sheets ??

@William M Thorsen, in answer to your question, first I would suggest verifying that all the information that is provided on the family group sheets is captured in FamilySearch. Some dates and places may be different based on subsequent research that would hopefully be accompanied by Source citations. In your situation, it's probably best to verify each family group sheet, I believe.

After that, it's pretty much up to you. If you feel some attachment to the material, you could have it boxed or bound to be reviewed from time to time. If you are hesitant to throw it away, you might consider scanning or photographing the sheets and organizing them digitally. Finally ( and my favorite), you could just dispose of them.

Just a precaution; if you have family group sheets for living people or for your parents, if might be wise to shred these sheets since they provide so much personal data.

Finally, and most importantly, it is really up to you.

    Best of luck to you.
