The relative above has a marriage date of 1792 to Ann Reid Baskin. If this is ture he would be 13 yrs. old when he married.

How can I prove this date is not correct or maybe the person is not correct?

Thank you for your time,

The only source attached to him relates to his 29 July 1855 burial. The (Find A Grave) photo of the headstone shows him to be in his 86th year when he died. If correct, this would mean he was born around 1769, not 1779.

If you have evidence for a 1792 marriage, this would mean he was about 23 at the time, not 13. Someone appears to have calculated the year of birth incorrectly - taking 76, not 86 years from his date of burial.

Thank you so very much for the correction. I should have been able to figure this out but am grateful that you did figure it out and let me know.
