I was searching for my Great Grandfather; This is what I found!
I have searched up and down the GRO without success. At the moment I don't know where else to look; any advice please. Many thanks. Mike

And, I gather, that this is the individual/person, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch', to which you refer:

Spouse: Mary Esther [ where there is NO 'Family Name' / 'Surname' recorded ] ( Deceased ) ... 9419-GKF
As you "Changed" the "Birth" Record; and, "Added" (1) a "Source" for Marriage"; and, (2) a "Residence".
Plus, not to mention the Possible "Duplicate" ...

I found deaths registered at Dudley in 1919 and 1945 (see FreeBMD website), but neither match a birth around 1858. I found no other close matches.
I could not find an Edward Worton death in the "England, Select Deaths and Burials, 1538-1991" collection you refer to, which had no event date.
The 1908 death registered at Stourbridge seems to match Mary Esther Worton.

And, from a 'Tree' on "Ancestry_com", it appears that he was around in 1901 (Bilston, Staffordshire, England).
