How to proceed after reaching end of my investigation?
I cannot find any links searching for my great grandfather Jake Robinson. His name is included on death certificates of a few of his children; but I cannot find it on any census from 1850 thru 1910.
Also, his spouse Mary Ann Hooker-Robinson is not found in census after 1900 or before 1880.
Any suggestions how to proceed will be appreciated.

You would have to provide far more detail to get help from one of the more experienced individuals who use this (Community) forum.
However, even with an approximate date and place of birth, you might still have difficulty in finding him, as some records seem to remain stubbornly hidden.
Eventually, we all get back as far as we can go in tracing our ancestors in a particular branch - then get stuck in tracing ancestors in any of our branches. Quite simply, if you do reach this stage, don't completely give up hope, but be realistic about your prospects. You will need to be very patient, in a hope that, some day, a previously "hidden" record will turn up and give you a lead that gets you back, perhaps, a further two or three generations.
