Can anyone please tell me how to edit information for a person on Family Search?

My example is Louisa Mary Emily Barnard January 1865 – 13 May 1914 • LVMF-WM1

I take it that the 13 May 1914 date is supposed to be the death date. If so it is incorrect.

I have added a source showing a death & probate record image. The correct date of death was 12 December 1938.

@NBill1 You can edit any of the Vitals in Family Tree by clicking on the edit button next to the information you want to edit. It will take you to a field where you can correct the information and save it. For further information, please see the article in the Help Menu listed below:

I see you attached a source to the page, so you are in the right place. Are you using the mobile app or the web interface?

On the mobile app, touch the death record. It is editable.

On the web, you should see a blue "Edit" next to the word Death; select that to edit. You might have to fish around with your cursor to hit it.

I did a quick search and you are correct, the death date is wrong. Possibly it is left over from a prior bad merge or source attached incorrectly.

@NBill1, I see you made the change you wanted. Did you notice there are now additional sources waiting to be attached? Also, it helps greatly to standardize place names. I'll do a little now so you can see the result.
