Dear Sherie Lee,
Thank you for contacting FamilySearch through this community question answer page.
We found on May Marion Shaw's person page that indeed upon looking at her ordinances, they are shown as not being completed. We would advise that you reserve these ordinances (for now) so that while we are sorting out this problem, no one else will reserve and do the ordinances again.
We will be transferring your question/request to an internal team that will work to help you resolve your concern.
Could you please:
- Provide details:
- Your relationship to the individual needing attention (May Marion Shaw)
- Information about the person (name, birth date, and ID number)
- How you know the ordinances are complete
Also, if you are able to complete the below instructions, it would expedite getting the original ordinances recorded.
- Click the paper clip icon and attach a scanned copy of one of the following:
- A temple-stamped family name card.
- A temple-stamped family group record form.
- A notification letter from the temple stating that ordinances were completed. Note: This is a carryover from an earlier process.
Thank you for contacting FamilySearch. We will look forward to

It appears the ordinances in question are associated with the following record --- May Marian Shaw KH39-VFT. This record has been merged into Mary Elizabeth Shaw KCWC-2PV. There are notes justifying the merge but we have no knowledge of these persons and will not comment on the validity of these merges. You will have to determine if they are correct. If you want to restore the record -- KH39-VFT you can follow the procedure found in the article listed below.
