When you wish to have something added to a Read Only record, your concern can be forwarded to the specialty team that can work with Read Only records to make appropriate changes.
I will be forwarding your concern to that team, and you will hear from them directly either through a private message in the Community or by email if they have additional questions, or when you request have been addressed.
Thank you for posting your concern here so that we could have it addressed.

Looked at the Read Only record and sent the patron an article on Read Only records.

Would appreciate getting the same information. I have an ancestor whose record is similarly read-only, but I would like to add his redress petition as well. FamilySearch also has multiple Record Match suggestions that I would like to be attach as Sources, but you have the record locked. Please advise.

Welcome to this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Make/submit/post your own. separate "Request", here in the Forum, under ...
"Q and A" Section
'Category' = Family Tree
Home > Help Center Categories > Family Tree
https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/family-tree
Just like 'Laurence' has done.
Include the "Details" of the "Ready-Only" Person; and, what you require done.
Of course, with any appropriate "Links".
FYI
Here is a "Knowledge Article" in 'FamilySearch'
What are read-only records in Family Tree?
https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/what-are-read-only-records-in-family-tree
I hope that this helps.
