If a record indicates a marriage and baptism the same day, do I create a separate record for it?

I am indexing 1642 parish records. A wife or huband is baptized the same day of marriage, but the form is not condusive to show the proper relationship.

If you could link to the specific record that would be helpful. Generally I think yes you should create a second baptism type record. But I'm uncertain what you mean about 'relationship not conclusive' without seeing the record.

Please share your batch in a comment here by copying and pasting the batch link or batch code.

    Steps:

    1. When your batch is open, click Help in the upper left.
    2. On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch.
    3. The Share Batch window opens, giving you two options.

When two or more information appear in a record of a Project, such as death, baptism, etc.. Only that record should consider the type of main record. This indicates The Project Instructions. There we find indications for our doubts . I am sending you the link that we can find in the Help Center, to find where The Project Instructions are located :

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/donde-puedo-encontrar-las-instrucciones-del-proyecto-durante-la-indexacion

When looking at the instructions , this advice we must follow :

    SOLO INDEXAR EVENTO PPAL.PNG

In English it says : "Index only information related to the main event recorded in the document. For example, do not index information about subsequent events, such as marriage or death, that appear in the margin of a birth certificate "

In any case, said additional information on Baptism , in your consultation . You will receive it as a Suggest Record for your service in Indexation to the corresponding Family member.

We hope we have helped you.

@Cecilia Espinoza de Montoya CHF SAS Hmm, that is correct - follow the Project Instructions at ALL times 😣 To me it doesn't make sense not to index information of a different record type for the same person - we want to find the record whether it's in a different record type page or not. Hmm I guess that's not the goal of the Project Owner - they only want the researcher to find the default type of record and then notice another record type and enter it on their own? I don't know... I just go for indexing more ... but by all means follow the Project Instructions... I need to follow Project Instructions more carefully. 😶

My esteemed entusiasta1 .. we are advised, at all times, to be able to read the Project Instructions, because there you will find all the help indications for indexing. We thank for your answers and for the encouragement in Indexar's work and your participation in Comunidad
