How do we reattach a memory that resides in a deceased person's gallery when it is locked?

If my husband is deceased and his account locked what if someone detaches a memory by accident? How does it get reattached? Are these memories lost forever?

The help article and the response did not answer the question. If someone detaches a memory that is in a deceased person's account how can you reattach it? Am I correct that it will be lost forever? This is my main concern about adding memories of any kind to FamilySearch. The fact that they can be detached innocently or maliciously and there is nothing that can be done if the person is deceased. I have found items in my gallery that other people had detached and I didn't even know about it. The memory would have been lost in my gallery forever if I had not stumbled across it. This is a big concern! I have added approaching 2,000 memories, and have many more, but hesitate when I realize they are not safe. My husband recently passed away so this concern has been brought to the forefront.

C D McBride, I am impressed with your comments, but am not able to get any of the links to work.

    Dorene,

We are sorry to hear that the links did not work for you. One of the many good things about FamilySearch is Rhat there are usually at least two ways to do most everything.

You can find the articles directly by using some search terms after you click the small question mark in the right upper corner of all FamilySearch screens, then click in the dropdown menu on Help Center. Then when you see the search bar, you can use search terms that should bring up several articles including the ones you search for. For instance, if you use the search terms Image Viewer, you should get to the first article. The second article should be found if you search for Latest Changes and you should see an article about how to view changes that have been made in the records of ancestors. The use of the Album feature would be found if you use the search term How do I create an album?

If you still have issues or questions, please reply to this message.
