Weekly Emails from Family Search have stopped. Why?
Emails with Family Information from Family Search
Right after I joined Family Search, I would get an email once a week giving me information or links about members of my family tree. The very first one said "You Have a Mayflower Heritage" It then gave me a link to view the relationship and I found that my 10th great-grandmother was a passenger on the Mayflower. I had never been able to research my father's family that far back. I was amazed.
My point is this, those emails have stopped. I loved getting them. I have searched your website to see if I needed to pay for a membership in order to continue receiving these emails. I couldn't find anything referencing any such thing. Has the site discontinued these emails? I received them up until July 8, 2021.
I couldn't find any appropriate department to email so if you can't help me, I would appreciate it if you could point me to the correct one.
Thank you,
Roni Hewitt

Thank you for your response to my question. I don't think that is going to help because I have all the notifications turned on except text messages on my phone. I have had them turned on since I joined Family Search. My problem is like Family Search just quit sending these emails about my family all at once in July. I have only one email address so that is not the problem. I checked my Spam folder and there are no Family Search emails in there. They are saved for one month so if I had mistakenly marked one for Spam, I'd have at least the last month's emails in there.
I am absolutely stumped as to why I am no longer receiving these Family Search links to my family origins or headstones from my ancestors or an ancestor's birthdate or anniversary of their date of death. I so looked forward to these emails.
Thanks you once again for you attempt in trying to fix my problem.

Hello @Roni Hewitt,
We understand that you are not getting emails on a weekly basis as you once did. I checked mine and the most recent I can find in my email was sent August 8th. It could be that they are not sent weekly any more, I am not sure. The current wording says that occasional emails are sent out.
However, you can find this information yourself at any time by checking your Notifications.
Steps (website)
- While you are signed in to FamilySearch, click the Notifications icon (looks like a bell).
- The Notifications page appears. Notifications are divided into several categories. Most notifications about activities are available under Discoveries.
- Click Discoveries.
- The column on the left shows the titles of recent discovery notifications. Click the notification you want to read.
- The notification’s content or message appears on the right.
- To read a different notification, click a different title from the column on the left.
- Note: If you do not see the notification that you are looking for, search for it at https://www.familysearch.org/discovery/. (This is a favorite of mine.)
