Help with translation from German to English
I found my 2nd g-grandfather's name in this source from Ancestry.com "German Casualties in the Franco-Prussian War, 1870-1871". The link is https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/1292/images/31064_137746-00787?pId=86804
Can someone help me by translating the information listed for Carl August Bressem? HIs name is third from the bottom under the date of 27 Nov 1870.
Does it say he was wounded on this date, or was he killed in action? His PID number is KC6N-9SS.
Thank you,
Valerie Hausknecht

(Any chance of an abbreviations page?) Here's my transcription:
1. Armee-Corps.
Grenadier-Regiment Kronprinz ?. Ostpreußisches Nr. 1.
Schlacht bei Amiens am 27. November 1870.
1. Compagnie.
Gren. Carl August Bressem aus Königsberg. L. v. S. d. d. Hand.

According to a Genealogy StackExchange post (https://genealogy.stackexchange.com/questions/11885/reference-key-for-injuries-for-wwi-german-casualty-lists/11886#11886), "L. v." means lightly wounded, so it would appear that he had a minor wound on his hand.

FYI - Ancestry Help has Translation Help boards, for example, https://www.ancestry.com/boards/topics.researchresources.translator.german%20language

Thank you for the suggestion. If I don't receive help through Family Search, I will try the ancestry board.

Your link leads behind Ancestry's paywall, so you've severely limited your helper pool.
