According to the record of deceases ancestors, I found my father from whom I have been estranged in this Record.

it clearly stated his right birthdate and place and also his Place of Residence.

only problem. He is still alive!!

He is 85 now.

I am confused about how a death can be notified, recorded or reported, when the person has Not Died(!!)

If you are talking about the Family Tree, someone made an error and entered him as deceased. Mistakes happen.

If a living person shows as deceased in the collaborative FamilySearch Family Tree, you can change that person's status to living.

    Appreciate the comment.

    still new to Family Search.

it is not the family tree.

I searched for deceased ancestors - relatives- World Wide, on Family Search.

Incidentally put the name and details of my father into the Search Engine.

And to my surprise he is listed there as dead.

I will phone a number to clear this up.

” Mistakes “ such as this have consequences. I will chase it up personally.
