New Search Page
Whose bright idea was it to change the records search page? Please put it back the way it was! The new layout is proving impossible to use.

@Tammy Lynn Driver On the new search page, on the right, click Feedback. This is the quickest way to let the engineers know that you are not happy. It would be most useful if you could help them understand specific things about the new search that you find unsatisfactory.

@N Tychonievich Thanks. I'm trying to help my cousin trace his paternal line, which is from Vinnytsia Ukraine, and the new search page is making my job even harder than it already is. My cousin's dad was born in Vapniarka in 1909. No searchable indexed birth/marriage/death records for Vinnytsia on FS after about 1850-1860. 🤬

The new search is absolutely horrid. Any time familysearch searching comes up now on various genealogy FB pages, there is nothing but complaints about it.
In the past, when you entered search criteria, you usually had the folks you were searching for come up in the top of the page. Finding collections to search was easy.
You have taken what used to be a great site and turned it into a waste of time for people.
I don't have time, nor do I want to, go through thousands of search results to find information.
Please go back to the old search. It was so much more useful and intuitive.

When I go to the new search page the feedback is bottom left and when I click on it it leads me right back here. The new search page is absolutely useless! It's harder to use, with minimal results and half the page is filled with other junk. Please, is there any option to get the old, very good one, back?

There are OTHER posts throughout this Forum, where the instigator of the above posts has responded with, advice; direction; instruction; help/assistance, on the NEW "Results" page/screen, of "Records Search" ('FamilySearch').

That Said ...
You may like to ADD, your thoughts/comments, in those particular posts; so that, your thoughts/comments, like those of MANY other UNHAPPY Users/Patrons, ARE 'seen', by the Team, in 'FamilySearch', that 'Designed'; and, 'Developed" the NEW look "Search".
As you can 'see' from those posts ...
DESPITE, all the NEGATIVE 'Feedback', with regard to the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", from those that matter, the 'lowly' User/Patrons, where the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", was 'foisted' upon them; BEFORE, being "Fully" released to ALL User/Patrons - 'FamilySearch' RELEASED the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", to ALL Users/Patrons.
As I already suggested ...
You are not alone ...
We are ALL "Struggling"; and, NEED "Help", with the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", which is NOT very 'User Friendly'.
MOST Users/Patrons want the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records" to be "Reverted" BACK to the PREVIOUS "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records".
But ...
That Said ...
SADLY, I doubt that will happen ...
I know that this DOES NOT help/assist; but, I hope that this gives you some additional, insight; and, perspective.

I read through all of your attempts to respond to other unhappy, and as you call them, unkind feedback.
You want to be told how great it is, and if you can't say that 'don't say anything.' We changed it, and that's the way it is, you lowly peon genealogy lovers. Deal with it.
