LN8Y-Y1G is for Harold Norris Rushton, my deceased husband. On his entry someone put that we have no children. I can't get rid of the big red !!!

We have six children, 27 grandchildren and two great-grand children. Could you please fix this mistake?

Thank you, Jill Boronda Rushton

On the Details page for Harold, click the square with the pencil in it next to the marriage field. Scroll down to Relationship Facts. Remove the Fact that says No Children.

Or, go to the Other Information field and remove the No Children fact from that list.

We hope that one or both of these methods will remove this fact from your relationship.

i still cannot delete the NO CHILDREN FACT. Has anyone a suggestion as it is upsetting. I clicked on my ex husband, went into facts and up came the NO CHILDREN. HOW DO YOU DELETE IT WHEN THERE IS NOTHING THERE YOU CAN?

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forom.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    FYI

▬ You have to to the "Couple" Relationship ... the "Pencil" Icon"

▬ Go 'Down" to the "Relationship Facts" Section

▬ Under the No Children fact, select "Edit".

▬ A "Pop-Up" (ie, "Modal") 'Window' will appear; being, "Edit Fact" ... currently, the ONLY Fact is No Children

▬ In that "Pop-Up" (ie, "Modal") 'Window' , go 'Down' to the BOTTOM 'Right-Hand-Corner'.

▬ You will 'see' ... "Delete", select that; enter a "Reason" for deletion, if you wish, "Save".

    ▬ Done

    NO Children _ Flag _ for Couple _ DELETE _ Button _ 0 _ 26 October 2021.jpg

    I hope this helps.

As no action (to remove this) appears to have been taken, I can only assume you are looking at the below and thinking it applies to your husband. "No Children", like all the other items under "Facts" is just an option and I just don't see any indication that anyone has activated that option. To me, there is nothing at all on his record indicating he never had children.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding your point. "No Couple Relationships" is also an option here, so I wonder (if I am interpreting your complaint correctly) why you are not highlighting that issue, too? If possible, please show a screenshot of the misleading "No Children" suggestion.

Perhaps the word "Facts" is misleading, but the above only "become facts" once they are selected and you click on "Save".

    Paul

    'Head-Up' ...

'Maureen' is NOT the ORIGINAL poster of this post.

'Maureen' has just 'Joined" in on this post, with a 'Comment'.

Perhaps, 'Maureen' has the same/similar problem/issue; but, with another individual/person; or, Couple.

Earlier today, 'Maureen' also did the same, 'Joined" in on another post, with a 'Comment'.

[ That was her first foray into the Forum ... This is her Second ... ]

I also responded, in that instance; but, no corresponding response as yet.

ps: And, in the case, of this particular post, the Spouse / Wife is most probably, STILL "Living"

..... [ Hence, we will NOT 'see' ANY "Couple" (or, "Couple" Relationship) ... ie. "Private Spaces" ... ]

    @Brett .

Thanks for pointing that out, Brett. Have edited my post so correctly directed to Jill (instead of Maureen).
