Is there a family history center in Yorkshire England who could help me?

My surname is Maynard and I have been proved through my brother's Big Y dna to be related to the Maynards in middle North Carolina USA. When talking to the administrator of the research group for this group of Maynards, he said he wished he had some Maynard in Yorkshire England whose family has been there for hundreds of years to match our DNA to because he believes that is the area of England that they came from.

So what came to mind is to see if there is a family history center in Yorkshire who might be able to help hook me up with someone willing do the DNA project. Our administer will pay for the testing.

Any other ideas of how to get this accomplished are also welcome!

Thank you!

Brenda Maynard
