Ok two issues. One that code is not for the Directories. Two it is in the wrong kind of brackets to pull up the batch if we leave them on. This is the batch it pulls up, US, New York—Index to Passenger Lists of Vessels Arriving at New York City, 1897–1902 [Part B][MS4Y-RLW]
Would you please correct the batch code so we can help you? Thanks!

I get this message below when I try to open this batch. I'm not sure why because I have a Batch from this Project in my queue that I have opened. If @GayDeuel hasn't returned or submitted the batch, I would appreciate knowing why I cannot open this shared batch from the same Project. Could one of the Moderators check on this, please?

John, is it possible the batch you saw was one you had done previously so it is an 'artifact' of software?

I get the same error using that Batch code. I don't any have any artifacts in my queue.

Thanks for checking on this. I can still open the "City Directories" batch in my queue.
I just tried again to open the above Shared Batch. Here below is exactly (I just pasted it from the clipboard) what I pasted into the Gear on the Web Indexing Page, and I still get the Access Restricted message with no indication of what the problem batch is:

Speaking of this kind of situation, I think that Moderators should have access to a "non-privileged" account in order to have a "regular" user experience when trying to replicate a reported problem.
UPDATE: I can and did open a batch for Review from the Project that you indicate is actually associated with that Share Batch Code. This is the Share Batch Code for it: MSHM-NF1. So I'm not generally blocked from that Project, just from that particular batch.

It is possible since the code is not for a US Directory that the project it does call up is a restricted batch.

Yes, I never use any brackets for a shared batch. I have always copied the letter/numbers only.
No, it should still work and we should see the same batch you saw and that it is attached to that batch code. We both have access to New York Passenger Lists [Part B].

As I suggested above, a moderator might experience a different response than a non-privileged user when opening a Shared Batch. But I have verified that I do have access to the batches in that NY Index to Passenger Lists project. So it's not a general permission issue.
I also never include the brackets when using a Share Batch code, only what is within the square brackets or whatever type of bracket the person posing the question used to describe the batch in question.

In the past I didn't use the brackets but just like to see the button for open ungrey!
It may be that moderators can open the batch when others cannot although with restricted batches that is not the case. It is also possible that the project has been changed to restricted. Try resetting your cookies for FamilySearch. familysearch.org/cookies or change your browser? Oddities are often fixed doing those.

Thanks, Gay. Wait for the other's opinion, but, I would mark that Image, No, No Extractable Data. Notaries Public are public officials of the government.
- Mark all other images, including full pages of advertisements, county and city histories, lists of elected officials, tables of contents, maps, city and county government officials lists, colonial wills, biographies, military histories, solider lists, family histories, historical essays and voter and census records, in Step 1: Images as No, No Extractable Data.
