Collections
I have attempted to 'Search Records' for 'Europe' then 'Switzerland' then I chose 4 collections. It says 4 selected. Next I enter my ancestor. Search comes up empty and then when I look to see the collections there are none stored. How do I select collection(s) and have them stay in place while I do several investigations?

If your ancestor's name is not in those collections, the names of the collections will not appear when your results (or lack of results) are displayed.
You may want to try searching a bit more broadly to start and then narrow the results by collection or time period if there are too many results. With European border changes, you may have better results by searching in adjacent jurisdictions. Don't mark too many options "exact," since there will be spelling variants or extract errors.

@CHold If the OP restricts the search to databases that do not mention his person of interest, those databases will not be listed. It's not a glitch. It's not something that Tech needs to review.
