Who can I call in the tech department that can answer a problem I’m having with a program error?
When I try to get into indexing on my Apple I-Pad I receive the same Error notice;
A problem repeatedly occurred on https://www.family search.org/indexing/batch/f723b4f4-4271-4e29-ala8-35549e4bea0d
I’ve sent batches back and the same notice comes. I’ve taken the problem to Bro. Esplin down here in Saint George to the Family Search Center. He took the problem to Family Search and they did the same things we tried with no result. I quote Bro. Esplin
I tried it on my wife’s IPad with the same batch and got the same error. When I tried a different batch it worked fine. Then I tried the Canada batch and it got the same error. End quote
I’m a regular indexer. I have indexed over 4,000 batches on my IPad. But I can’t do anything until this problem is fixed. Is there a number I can call in Salt Lake ? It is a programming glitch and I have no idea what to do.
Thanks for your help

The problem with iPad is often that it may not work in the horizontal position. Turn it to the vertical position and see if that works. The software engineers are aware of the issue and are working to solve it.

Have you tried opening the same batch on a non-IOS device like a MAC or PC? Maybe there is a problem with the batch itself or a series of batches from that Project and not the particular device on which it's opened, or trying to be opened.

What is the share batch number for this batch? If you give us the share batch number we can look at it and see if there is an error. It may just be a batch that is not compatible with your IPad.
Also, what browser are you using for indexing. Google Chrome or Firefox is the best to work with anything in FamilySearch. You may need to check and see if you are on the most current version of Chrome or Firefox. You may also need to clear cookies on your browser.
Also look at the related articles at the bottom of this article.
You can always return that batch and select another project.
Thank you!

Works in vertical position. iPad is not as good as a computer for indexing. You lose a lot of the shortcuts, anyway I did but it could be me. Won’t work on some batches in a horizontal position!!!
