Why can't I connect to MyHeritage from FamilySearch?
I attended a webinar today sponsored by MyHeritage that indicated that there is a reciprocal arrangement with FamilySearch for sharing Family Trees. But when I tried to connect between them, I got a message that this partner service was not available to me. They implied that no subscription service was needed. Can you help me, please? Thank you!

Thank you for your question in the Community about the FamilySearch-My Heritage connected accounts. This connection is available for members of the Church of Jesus Christ only. You can learn about FamilySearch partner sites in our FamilySearch Solutions Gallery. Use the Filter tool to organize the partners by platform, device, language, and FamilySearch compatibility.
- For price, be sure to check the partner's website.
- Keep in mind that you can access many of our partners' sites for free from one of the many family history centers located around the world. Use the link below to find one near you.
Wishing you success with your family history .

Then why would MyHeritage imply that this is a "free" and simple way of synchronizing to FamilySearch?

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
Firstly ...
I would humbly suggest, that the implication, by "MyHeritage", being that ...
IF, one DOES have a "MyHeritage" Account; THEN, one CAN "Synchronise", one's "Tree", in "MyHeritage", for FREE, with "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
As, there is an INTERFACE between, "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'; and, "MyHeritage".
Secondly ...
Another OPTION, which you may not have considered is, that you could visit a "Family History Centre", of the Church (which are located around the World), nearest you; as, a Patron; and, possibly use "MyHeritage" there, if such is available.
At a "Family History Centre", of the Church, you may be able to "Download" (on, a "Storage" medium; or, a Computer/Tablet) the Records from "MyHeritage"; and, you may even be able to attach the Records in "MyHeritage", to the individuals/persons, in your "Ancestral" Lines, in "Family Tree" of 'FamilySearch'.
[ Of course, subject to "COVID-19", &, any "Family History Centre", of the Church, nearest you, being OPEN ]
Just my thoughts.

So then my only recourse would be to either join LDS, visit one of your other partner solutions websites, or manually enter and update my information separately on both FamilySearch and MyHeritage?

Thanks Brett! For that very detailed explanation of my conundrum. In the future, you may want to consider sharing with your genealogical partners that there are caveats and limitations to the "partnership," that they should include in any advertising! Have a great day!!
