"How to use the Memory Uploader" Guide
FamilySearch has updated the process for uploading Memories in the FamilySearch Tree.
Users will now go through a series of steps as they upload their memories. These steps are necessary as FamilySearch is expanding and upgrading tools, like Family Group Trees. Privacy and visibility questions are included.
For now, you will only see these updates when you upload memories in the FamilySearch Tree: from a Person page, click the Memories tab under the person’s name, then click Add Memories.
Soon, this updated process will be available in the Memories Gallery. Later, we can expect to see this tool in other areas of FamilySearch.
Additionally, privacy and visibility questions are now included as you Tag Memories.
If you have any questions or experience any difficulties, please provide feedback in the Memory Feedback group.

HOW TO USE THE UPLOADER:
This new process for uploading Memories is available only from a Person’s page on the FamilySearch Tree. It is not yet available in the Gallery.
Select where your uploads will come from. You can add single Memories or many Memories. You can also drag and drop single/many Memories.
If you select a single file (photo/document) to upload, you can add details immediately.
If you select many files (photos/documents), you will need to add details later. You will need to select individual Memories and add details in the Memory Viewer.
You will be asked to select a Visibility setting for your Memory/Memories. If you have selected many files, you will select one Visibility setting for all. You can change the Visibility setting at any time by selecting individual Memories and changing Visibility options in the Memory Viewer.
As you upload Audios or Stories, you will also be asked to select a Visibility setting.
If you have Family Tree Groups, you can select which Private Memories can be viewed by which Family Groups.
Additionally, when you use the Tag function in the Memory Viewer, you will be asked to verify the Visibility setting. This is to ensure you have permission from all living individuals in a Memory before you make it public.
