Mary Shiflett b. 1916 Oklahoma
Seeking any info (preferably death info/burial location info) for Mary Shiflett b. 1916 in Oklahoma. I find her on census records, city directories and some newspaper clippings up until the 40s. After that I can’t find anything about her. SS death index says she died in 1984 last known address was Buffalo, Harper County, Oklahoma... but there’s another one that says she died in Colorado, however the Oklahoma online birth and death index says she died in Harper County Oklahoma. Either way, I can’t find an obit or a family member or grave anywhere. Her birth name was Nancy Jane Hutchins, she was adopted in 1919 by Joseph B. Shiflett and Hannah Dougherty Shiflett in Enid, Garfield County, Oklahoma. My grandfather was also adopted into this family so Mary was his adopted half sister. Joe, Hannah and David all died before 1960, Mary was last seen on the1940 Census living in Oklahoma with the George Kaiser family (haven’t researched it yet to see if this is the same Family who is currently the “richest man in Oklahoma” or not). However she’s also listed as living with her brother David in Colorado on his WWII draft registration. Thank you all for any help!

Something you could try: Call the Buffalo Public Library: (580) 735-2995. It's a tiny library, but sometimes little libraries like that keep scrapbooks on the local residents. Maybe...?
