Michael Cox born 1818/1822 Probably County Roscommon
Not 100 % sure that my Michael Cox was born in Roscommon. I have one document from Ireland that says parents of a Michael Cox were Thomas Cox and Honor Brennan. Not sure if this is the correct parents or not. Siblings of Michael were Luke, Peter, Patrick, Mary, John, and Bridget. These were found on the 1850 census in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. Assuming they were siblings. On that 1850 census all of the above named Coxes were living with an older woman named Ellen Cox born about 1798 in Ireland. This doesn't match Honor above! I have found marriage and death records for all the Coxes above and none list parents or an exact place of birth in Ireland. Looking for help in solving this mystery.

You don't mention the religion of the family, and that is an essential element when looking for records before 1864 when Ireland implemented registration of births.
Checking Roman Catholic Baptisms in County Roscommon, I see 5 children baptized to parents Thomas Cox and Honor Brennan (and variants) between 1816 and 1828 - Luke, Michael, Honor, Martin, and Bridget. You can search and view these records, free, on https://search.findmypast.com/search-world-Records/ireland-roman-catholic-parish-baptisms You will need to create a free account if you do not already have one, but you will not need to enter any payment info.
You can also view those records on registers.nli.ie/, free, but you cannot search by name. They were all baptized in the parish of Killucan. That register is https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633944#page/1/mode/1up
Hope this helps.
