Finnish Marriage Record - Translation Confirmation and Question
Hello again,
I have found the marriage record for Johu Talvitie and Kaisa Jernberg in Alavus on 3 October 1891. It is the second entry in the photo below. I know that the names are underlined and that the column with the two numbers are the ages of the groom and bride. My rough estimate on the translation is:
"the hired worker, young man Juho Albertinanspoika born Raiskolai (Röyskö?) of Alavus and servant girl Kaisa Johannatytar Jernberg, born Lana(????) of Alavus"
I also recognize that there is significance to the number 224 that is entered in the column after the ages. This same number is found in the birth records I located for their first two children.
So, in summary my questions are: 1) do I correctly understand that the words after the names are the farm or village names in Alavus? 2) What is the name of the farm/village after Kaisa's name? 3) Does the number 224 refer to a page or entry number in the Communion Books? If so, how do I figure out which range of years to check? I've looked at page 224 in the Alavus books for the time period and I'm not finding this couple listed.
Thanks so much for the assistance.
Martha
The record is also here, but it is behind the FFHA paywall:

I am going to tag @Heidi Kuosmanen on this. She will be able to answer all of your questions.

I can tell you that Juho's farm is Härkölä and Kaisa's is Lanamäki. It looks like Lanamäen because that is the possessive form of Lanamäki (in English "Lanamäki's" but in Finnish "Lanamäen").
The 224 is the page in the Communion book for the time period of the record; ie 1891 and that will only be available in the member pages of FFHA.
I will attach an image of it with the family highlighted.
I would recommend that you get a subscription to FFHA. It really is worth it if you are needing to do research in Finland.

Hi Martha,
1) Juho Alpertiinanpoika Talvitie was from (lived not born) in the farm of Härkölä in the village of Alavus in the municipality of Alavus. Kaisa Johannantytär Jernberg was from Lanamäki, Alavus, Alavus
2) It says Lanamäen talosta, which means house of Lanamäki
3) Yes, the number 224 refers to the communion book page. They were married at 1891, so they are in the book containing years 1891-1900:
Alavus rippikirja 1891-1900 (MKO161-203) Sivu 224 Härkölä ; SSHY http://www.sukuhistoria.fi/sshy/sivut/jasenille/paikat.php?bid=7930&pnum=206
Kaisa is here before marriage:
Alavus rippikirja 1891-1900 (MKO161-203) Sivu 197 Lanamäki ; SSHY http://www.sukuhistoria.fi/sshy/sivut/jasenille/paikat.php?bid=7930&pnum=183
