(I posted this, then went back to fix two typos, and it disappeared. Sorry if it ends up posted twice.)
A 1918 birth in Hungary is basically impossible to find without an exact location, because that time period isn't even online, mostly, and what little there is, is functionally unindexed. However, you're incredibly lucky: the 1936 marriage happens to have been indexed by the Hungarian genealogy society.
823. Budapest, 4 Oct 1936.
Groom: János Gothárdt, capital city hospital nurse, Reformed, born Sárszentmiklós (Fejér county), 19 Oct 1907, res. Budapest IX, Gyáli road 1
Parents: the late János Gothárdt, Mária Horváth
Bride: Mária Vácz, Reformed, born Budapest, 14 April 1918, res. Budapest IX, Mária Valéria estates 21
Parents: Ferenc Vácz, Erzsébet Csitár
Witnesses: István Turi, Budapest X. Maglódi road 2; György Kenyeri, Pestszenterzsébet, Frangepán street 111
Remark: the marriage was dissolved 3 Aug 1956 by capital city municipal court legal decree number 30340/1956. The wife's name is once again Mária Vácz. 8 Aug 1956.

That's still not an exact birth location, because even in 1918, Budapest had Too Many Districts, but it may be enough for you (as a direct descendant) to request a birth register extract through any registry office in Hungary. You may need to provide proof of relationship and proof of death, and there is a fee.
(I've never actually requested an extract, so I don't know the procedure at all. All of the instructions I've ever found have assumed that the requester is in Hungary, but I believe it is possible, because I know of people who have requested extracts from abroad.)

Hi!! Thank you very much for the quick answer. what you got me is very helpful.
dont worry about the mistakes.
I am going to try to contact the Hungarian embassy here in Buenos Aires to see if through them I can request your birth certificate. I have in my possession his death certificate (which only says Budapest and does not mention the district)
thank you so much!!
