See https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/requests-for-personal-data-and-service-records
The UK's MoD (Ministry of Defence) are the only source of the full service records. Full details of how to apply are on that link but:
- You must supply a death certificate;
- The next of kin must supply permission to see the full data, because without that permission, for a certain number of years after the death, you will not get the full information. The interesting stuff (!) is omitted without that permission.
- It takes some months to find and supply the data normally. In the current climate???

Cheers Adrian yes she has submitted a request months ago but they keep advising on a lengthy wait time so we were hoping to find info on our own steam if its possible
