What is the relationship between Josen Bisted and Madame Caroline?
In the attached christening record for Maren it appears to me that it is Madame Caroline that carries the child forward. However, I don't recognize the relationship between Caroline and Josen Bisted who's name is listed before hers. The word between their names appears to me to be "Kiornste", but I haven't found this to be a Danish word nor have a found a Danish word that is spelled similarly. Can anyone help? I have search all the word lists and haven't found a match. Also, I don't recognized the surname given for Josen Bisted. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

The underlined word is "kiæreste" which means simply "sweatheart" or "intended".
This Danish/English dictionary is a bit difficult to use, but it can be very helpful as it has vocabulary and meanings as of 1861: https://books.google.com/books?id=S4gCAAAAQAAJ&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false . This word, kiæreste, is on page 156, right column, near the middle of the page.
As far as the surname, Bisted, if you search in Danish Family Search using only the name Bisted in the Last Name field, you will get lots of results: https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/search/ .

Excellent! Thank you for providing the reference to this old Danish dictionary. This will be very helpful. I had considered that what appeared to be an "o" in the word might be an "æ", but the dictionary that I was using didn't contain either spelling of the word. This resource will be very helpful moving forward!
