Saltdal Prestegjeld multiple questions
1: My own University of Minnesota library claims to have a Saltdal bygdebok in its collection of many, yet no librarian can find it. Does anyone know an actual title or author that can be searched for? Perhaps it is included in the book for a larger area? Better, is it online somewhere?
2: Bride's residence in marriage record: https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/16631/253 middle of column on the far right. 15 Sept. 1815. Hans Olsen Oos og Ane Malena Olsdr. of Indre? -?. This is under Skjerstad parish rather than Saltdal. Does this just reflect a different municipal organization at this time? Possibly she is not a local girl?
3: I think this is one of their children:https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/255/pd00000042474243 1823, Saltdal parish, Hans Olsen residence Oos and Anne Olsdr residence: Oos of Schierstad. Are there two Oos?
4: Every other Saltdal farm in 1820-30 has a Hans Olsen. Later births are to Hans Olsen Skandsen and H. O. Sundbye - with wives Anne Olsd or Anne Malene. But no children between 1815-1821. Is this a gap in the records? The Norwegian Historical Data Centre only covers 1801-1815 in many places. I was leaning towards these being the same couple but the lack of children for 5-7 years casts doubt.
General Norwegian marriage question: I came across a couple who apparently didn't wed until their second child was well on the way. 1800's. Likely or impossible? Has to be two different families?
Thank you again for your valuable input.

1) This might help them find it if they really have it:
2) Looking at the marriage record the word clearly starts with F, then come something with an mark over it, this could be an ø or a u. Often people would draw a line over u to distinguish them from n. Then is definitely an s. Looking in the 1801 census, the only candidate I can see for this is Indre Fusch. Looking at the very last word in the marriage record, you see that one of the forloverne is from the same place and here it is more clearly spelled: Indre Fuske which I would accept as a variant spelling. This marriage record is in the parish record for Skjerstad Parish/Clerical District (depending on the terms you use. Looking at the information for the register, this covers both Skjerstad Parish/Local Parish and Saltdal Parish/Local Parish. You cannot tell from record whether they got married at Skjerstad church or Saltdal church. In 1815, there were no municipalities, just Clerical Districts. Municipalities were not created until 1838. Where I maily research in southern Hordaland, when the municipalities were created in 1838, almost always the municipality took on the name of the clerical district, has the same borders as the clerical district, and contained the same local parishes as the clerical district.
3) The 1801 census does show two Oos, one in Saltdal and one in Skjerstad ( https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/search/1801?fornavn=&etternavn=&kjonn=&familiestilling=&sivilstand=&yrke=&fodselsaar=&alder=&ny_husholdning=&merknader=&bosted=oo*&bydel=&gaardsnummer=&area%5B%5D=5197&area%5B%5D=2987&sort=rel )
4) The names of those two couple are different enough, that you are most likely looking at two different families.
5) I'm not sure of the time periods involved, but I think the early 1800 would be included, but in at least parts of the country, as soon as you were trolovet or engaged, you were considered as good as married, would move in together, and start your family. This was, I think, particularly true in very rural areas where the priest might come to the local church only every few months. However, I have also seen plenty of examples where a young man and young woman would have an illegitimate child, not get married, have a second child a few years later, and then get married.

To answer your first question, the Family Search Catalogue has a bygdebok for Saltdal. See here: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/989894?availability=Family%20History%20Library .
The title and author are: Saltdal : gård og slekt Author:Hutchinson, Alan, 1947-; Clark, Guri S. (Guri Solheim)
You should be able to view the genealogies of people in the book even without signing into Family Search. (Notes: To view the genealogies of individuals in this source click here )
Question 2: There is a farm in Fauske (near to Skjerstad) called Fauske. See Olaf Rygh's farm book names here: https://www.dokpro.uio.no/perl/navnegransking/rygh_ng/rygh_soek.prl?s=e&AMT=&start=Search&HERRED=&SOGN=&GNAVN=Fauske&GNR=&LITTREF=&REFORDF=&BIND=&SIDE=&SOEKESTRENG=&med_amt=on&med_herred=on&med_sogn=on&konkordanse_streng=hurtigliste&sort_tfunn=-&sort_amt=1&sort_herred=2&sort_sogn=3&sort_gard=4 . The bride possibly was not a "local girl".
Sorry, I have to go. I will try to get to your other questions in a bit.

Additional comments:
This is their first child, Ole Andreas (left page, right column, #3): https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/16631/259 . (Record indicates "1st child.
This is their second child: (Karen Kristina, right page, left column, #4): https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/16631/270
It is a female child from Oos and the parents are Hans Olsen and Ane Olsdatter. The record states this is the second child.
A third child is here (left page, #13, Christen Angell: https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/16632/4 .
Johan Arent (Ørent) is here (left page, #178): https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/16619/16 . His birth record is in Saltdal, Nordland while the others are in Skjerstad. Makes me wonder if he is from a different family or if the family moved.
This tree has all of these children and more: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/2:2:3G76-B7L . Remember, this is a secondary source and should be verified by finding birth or other records for all individuals listed.

(The "broken image" in my post was the URL for the entry for the Saltdalen bydgebok in World Cat which would give the same information as the FamilySearch catalog link in his post)
